Data Deletion Instructions
We respect your right to privacy and control over your personal data. This page provides instructions for requesting deletion of your data from PostAutoma.
Your Right to Data Deletion
Under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This is also known as the "Right to be Forgotten" or "Right to Deletion".
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When you request data deletion, we will remove:
- Account Information: Name, email, profile details
- Generated Content: Text posts, videos, prompts, and all generated content
- Social Media Connections: OAuth tokens and connected account information
- Subscription Data: Billing history and subscription information (subject to legal retention)
- Usage Data: Activity logs, generation history, and analytics data
- Scheduled Posts: All scheduled and published content records
Data Retention Exceptions
In some cases, we may be required to retain certain data for legal, tax, or security purposes:
- Financial Records: Transaction data may be retained for up to 7 years for tax compliance
- Legal Disputes: Data relevant to ongoing legal matters
- Security Logs: Fraud prevention and security incident records
- Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (cannot identify you)
We will inform you if any exceptions apply to your deletion request.
- Log in to your account
Go to PostAutoma Login
- Navigate to Settings
Click on your profile icon and select "Settings"
- Go to Account Settings
Select "Account" or "Privacy & Security" tab
- Delete Account
Click "Delete Account" button at the bottom of the page
- Confirm Deletion
Confirm by entering your password and clicking "Permanently Delete Account"
- Send an email

- Include required information
- • Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
- • Your full name
- • Email address associated with your account
- • Account username (if applicable)
- • Reason for deletion (optional)
- Verify your identity
We may ask for additional verification to ensure account security
- Receive confirmation
We'll confirm receipt within 48 hours
- Deletion completed
Your data will be deleted within 30 days
Deletion Timeline
We receive and acknowledge your deletion request
We verify your identity to prevent unauthorized deletions
We permanently delete your data from our systems and backups
We send final confirmation that your data has been deleted
Facebook/Meta App Data Deletion
If you've connected your Facebook or Instagram account to PostAutoma and want to delete data collected through those integrations:
- Disconnect Your Account: Go to Settings → Connected Accounts → Disconnect Facebook/Instagram
- Request Deletion: Follow either Method 1 or Method 2 above, and specifically mention "Facebook/Instagram data deletion"
- Revoke App Access:
- • Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- • Find "PostAutoma" in the list
- • Click "Remove" to revoke access
We will delete all OAuth tokens, profile information, and content associated with your social media accounts.
Before You Delete
⚠️ Important Considerations
- Data is Permanent: Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
- Download First: Export any content you want to keep before deletion
- Active Subscription: Cancel your subscription before deleting to avoid charges
- Scheduled Posts: Any scheduled posts will be cancelled
- Social Media: Content already posted to social media will not be deleted from those platforms
Download Your Data
Before deleting your account, you may want to download a copy of your data:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Data
- Click "Download My Data"
- We'll email you a download link within 48 hours
- Download includes: generated content, prompts, videos, and account information
